Nominations are currently being accepted for the 48th annual Frank Tomlin Memorial Award, which is given annually to the Brantford and area’s sportsperson of the year.

Winners are selected based on who has contributed the most for sports in Brantford and the surrounding area; must be active in the year which they are considered, with past years taken into consideration; and winners are not eligible to repeat in consecutive years.
Nominations can be submitted to runningwithrick@gmail.com and should include: nominator’s name and contact number; nominee’s name and contact information; reasons for nominating nominee; and supporting information such as photos, testimonials, YouTube or media releases.
Deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 16.
The award is named after Frank Tomlin, a great sports fan who passed away in 1976. Bisons Alumni is the award sponsor and the award will be presented at the Brantford Sports Council’s Awards and Recognition ceremony on April 6 at the Laurier Research and Academic Centre West.
